This is one of the simplest happiness techniques, but also one of the most powerful. Dan Sullivan, a renowned expert in human potential, points out that it is virtually impossible to experience negative emotions when we are feeling grateful.
Because we tend to feel up or down according to what we are focusing on, a few minutes each day sitting in quiet gratitude can work wonders on our happiness level. From my own experience, I believe that constantly expressing and feeling gratitude is one of the surest ways to a wastingly happy life. What could you be grateful for?

This is absolutely true! My husband is good at fine tuning me when I start to get caught up in what I don't have or can't do...
When I was single, I used to think, "at least I have all my limbs". My thinking was that it would've been a lot more difficult to find Mr. Right (or even any date) if I were missing some limbs (men are so shallow). I finally did catch someone who, as it turns out, would love me with or without limbs. Actually, he's probably prefer me without legs...okay I won't go there...
