Matt and I are going to celebrate our 4 month anniversary tomorrow (is that it?? it seems longer:) And since he had the day off yesterday he took it upon himself to give me my gift early!
So traditional gifts for 4 year/month is Flowers or Fruit - he gave me fruit!! He gave me 2 pear trees for the farm we are building:) Now I have to admit it took me about 30 minutes to get the full extent of the gift. When I got home last night I saw the trees and when I went up to them I saw this hanging in the tree...
and as I said it was some time later when it dawned on me - he gave me a Partridge in a pear tree! I love you Matty - you are perfect and your gifts are great! I can't wait to walk around the back 40 and decide where we are going to plant these - they are a perfect pear just like us:)
Stay tuned tomorrow for what I am giving him :)
OK - my postings about three months are a little off the hook but this is the last one I promise! I am only posting again because I woke to gifts! HA! Last night Matt cooked dinner and cleaned up the kitchen while I did some photography stuff - then I feel asleep on the couch and he left to go to Soccer. I of course was passed out in bed when he got home - I tried to wake up to talk to him I did because I wanted to see if he liked his gifts but I just couldn't get awake! So this morning at 5:30 I was talking to him about it and from the side of the bed he pulled this gift out for me!! Its an Angela Adams bag!!! I love it and feel like I should have known who she was but this is where Matt educates me. I loved it for the print but researching online this AM I realized I love it because it is made of sustainable materials... ahh a man after my own heart! I can't wait to get into work and show off my bag!
You would think I would have a great Easter post here but I don't... I am very tired - one week ago today I was on a different path than I am on now - I have a big interview tomorrow that could take me to France in very short order! I am overwhelmed by it all so my post today is of the man who has helped me get through this week - Matty has been my rock and he has promised to support me not matter what I decide.. can you really ask for more than that?
I love you matty!
last night we made the long cold trek to the post office after work so Matt could get his mail! he got a package and I figure it was Pottery - the man has an obsession with Blue Hills Pottery But when we got home he let me open it and it was more toys for me!!!!!!! He was busy doing somethign so I unpacked them all and quickly took their picture! There are toys in here from the Animaniacs!!
From wikipedia:
The comedy of Animaniacs was a broad mix of old-fashioned wit, slapstick, pop culture references, and cartoon violence and wackiness. The show featured a number of educational segments that covered subjects such as history, math, geography, science, and social studies. Animaniacs itself was a variety show, with short skits featuring a large cast of characters. While the show had no set format, episode structure varied to suit the needs of the segments included; the majority of episodes were composed of three short mini-episodes, each starring a different set of characters, and bridging segments.
So technically Pinky and the Brain were part of the Animaniacs but I always thought of them as different which is why we had a hard time determing who belongs to what show - but turns out they all belonged to the same!
I love them all!
I am not kidding you when I say we have been sick for a month... ok not quite yet a month, but this Thursday marks the one month anniversary of when Matt sat across from me at dinner and said "I don't think WE are feeling well". I was feeling just fine but he wasn't his usual chatty self so all of a sudden WE were not feeling well. Sure enough the next day he was sick with the flu - he has been sick for almost four weeks! I thought I had dodged it until 2 Fridays ago when I was feeling not well - I spend the next 5 days in bed and called in sick to work for three days. I am not 100% and if his timeline is correct I will be sick for another three weeks.
Hence the lack of posts..... i am not well. But what we did get in the middle of that month is a break when we felt well enough to go to Morse Mountain and memories of that trip keep me hanging on right now when what I want to do is just lay down and sleep for the next three weeks.
The trip was magical and pefect. It was cold and we were alone and secluded and the cabin was all ours. It had a gorgeous view, a wonderful fireplace and no distractions from the outside world. We stayed right in the main room the entire time, choosing to sleep on the futon to be closer to the fire.
Matt and I shot over 450 images, I put the best 100 in a gallery here for you to view.. and then here are a few more:
Matt did a crossword puzzle while we were there - I tried to help, I swear I did, but I don't have the patience:
He let me put in the last piece and kept saying that "we" did it - which makes him the best boyfriend ever!
There were some great images on the beach that look awesome in black and white.
